The In's and Out's of Aerial Silks with Jocelynn Rudig

This Beginning/Intermediate level workshop will expand upon your basic knowledge of Silks and explore various climbs, sequences and drops that are accessible to the budding aerialist. As we broaden our knowledge of Aerial Silks, we begin to learn what makes a wrap safe and effective. We will play with fundamental wraps and learn how to explore variations on the theme in order to create individual poses and sequences. There’s something for everyone in this workshop that will challenge and ignite your desire to become a stronger, smarter and unique aerialist.

Aerial Bio and Desc.
Jocelynn Rudig is a certified Yoga, Aerial Fabric, Aerial Yoga and GYROKINESIS® Instructor. She has been teaching aerial dance for over 9 years. Jocelynn began her Aerial Dance career with Capacitor in San Francisco on invented apparatus and was formally introduced to traditional circus skills 5 years later. She regularly teaches at AirCat Aerial Arts in Boulder, CO, Synapsis Warehouse in Arcata, CA, specializing in Aerial Fabric, Dance Trapeze, Lyra and Aerial Yoga. Jocelynn enjoys sharing her knowledge with studios both large and small around the Nation.
Jocelynn has been performing aerial dance since 2002. Some highlights from Jocelynn’s career include working with Capacitor, Liss Fain Dance, Vau de Vire Society, Fractal Tribe and Frequent Flyers and performing solo acts at Envision, Symbiosis, Sonic Bloom, Arise, The Edwardian Ball and many more festivals and events around the globe. She travels the world teaching and sharing her knowledge of Aerial Dance, Yoga and Aerial Yoga at various studios and festivals. She currently resides in Humboldt County where she teaches Aerial Dance, Aerial Yoga, Yoga and practices Clinical Herbal Medicine. Jocelynn also co-teaches Aircat Aerial Yoga Teacher Trainings and Beginner Fabric Teacher Trainings with Aircat Aerial Arts in Boulder, Colorado. Please visit her website at
